BORA BORA, TAHITI

Anchor south of Motu Toopua, S16º32’ W151º 45.14’, for some fantastic snorkeling in a “water canyon.” We saw an incredible array of sea clams – royal blue, purple, brown/rust/gold, aqua – like bunched-up silk scarves tucked inside the shells. Suddenly, a 7’ moray eel swam sinuously just below us. Wow! That evening we enjoyed a fabulous sunset in the west, while a golden moon rose full above Mt. Otemanu. A short dinghy ride brought us to Bloody Mary’s for a wonderful fish dinner at this justly famous restaurant.
