This is a special itinerary
prepared for a group. We can tailor an itinerary just for you!
“The Turquoise Coast” is truly a cornucopia
of secluded pine-clad coves, 4th-century BC rock tombs,
amphitheaters, spice markets, Turkish carpets and very hospitable Turkish
people. There is little call for galley duty as eating in the tavernas is so
reasonable and tasty.
You’ll start off with 2 days in exotic Istanbul enjoying
the sights and sounds of this ancient city. Then, fly to Dalyan/Marmaris
to begin the one-way bareboat charter. Our route will take us down the
Lycian Coast starting in Marmaris, whose harbor is dominated by the well
preserved Ottoman castle built by Sultan Suleiman I in 1522, and end in Antalya,
once a major base for the Ottoman fleets of Barbarossa and Turgut, and now a
modest metropolis.

· Marmaris
to Fethiye in the route of St Paul. Visit the ancient city of Caunus
on the Dalyan River on small local boats that will remind you of the “African
Queen”, and marvel at the spectacular 4th century BC cliff
tombs. You may even see loggerhead turtles at the mouth of the Dalyan
River. |
