French canal Barge: August 30 – September 7, 2013

This self-drive “bareboat” French canal barge trip will be a one-way voyage of discovery from Trèbes to Narbonne.  If you like super scenery, extraordinary food, biking and wine this voyage has it all.
This trip will be on the UNESCO World Heritage Canal du Midi assuring some of the finest food and wine France has to offer.  We will start with a hotel night in the beautiful medieval town of Carcassonne with its beautiful cathedral and narrow streets.
You will be able to try your hand at handling the lines at the many locks we will pass through.  We will have bikes on board so that you may go off to explore.  Ride bikes, indulge in pain au chocolat for breakfast.

Canal Boats from Le Boat for this trip are 46’ with 4 cabins.
Boats will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.  We will try to book you on the boat of your choice; and if you are unable to fill a boat yourself, we will do our best to find additional crew.
